This toy was so cute. My granddaughter loved it. The idea is great you know kids love playing with water. They love pouring water and that's exactly what you have to do with this. You open the top you pour the water in. It turns pink, and then it reveals the doll that's in there and the cutest thing you open it on the bottom and you can retrieve your doll but first yes you have to pull the water up. It's cute.
