If you have a GE refrigerator that uses the RPWFE filters, you are in luck! I have tried a couple other aftermarket filters that stated they would work with the RPWFE system, but they did not have the microchip and therefore the water and ice maker on iur refrigerator would not operate. Given these past experiences I was skepticalvand wondering if inly option was to buy the expensive OEM GE filter, but I am happy to say that this filter from Great Value does have the chip and our water dispenser and ice maker work flawlessly now with this aftermarket filter! Nice to find a product that indeed fits and WORKS with the model it advertises.
