L-Theanine 200mg - 120 Vegetarian Capsules - Non GMO Project Verified - Natures Trove

(Nature's Trove L-Theanine 200mg) I've been taking it for the past 8 days for better sleep. I typically go to bed between 10pm-12am and, for the past year, I'll wake up around 2-3am and stay up for an hour or so then sleep until 7-8am. Not sure why. But, I'd like a longer, continuous sleep period. It's annoying but I have avoided taking sleeping pills. I came across a YouTube video a few weeks ago referencing L-Theanine as well as GABA for better sleep, lower anxiety and other benefits. First time I'd heard of either. I've been taking GABA, too, for the past 4 days, the NOW brand 500mg with B6. My first two concerns anytime I've taken a medicine or supplement: How well does it work and are there any side effects? There are no side effects! And...they are not working! TO BE FAIR: I've only been taking L-Theanine for 8 days and GABA for 4. These are not prescription medicines! And I'm trying to use them to treat a chronic issue! I've always believed supplements will only treat ailments that come about from deficiencies therein. Speed of relief is likely related to how fast your body can uptake and use the supplement. You have effective dosage, metabolic (liver), blood/brain barrier concerns, etc. The only reason I'm writing this review at all and, especially, this early, is because Walmart sent me a $5 off coupon offer to write one that had to be written within 48 hours of the offer! Honestly, it's too early to tell, but I've divulged why I'm telling anything at this point. If you want to try it, go ahead. I have felt no side effects at all. I'm taking 200mg a day of L-Theanine and 500mg a day of GABA. I take them at night. I'll give it another 2 weeks. If no change, then I will double the dose to 400/1000mg. If no change by the end of both bottles, then...I won't buy any more! I've since discovered other supplements that can aid with sleep; however, I'm not going to take 5-6 different things at once and don't know which is or isn't working. So, I'll try this combo first. If it is possible to update a Walmart review, then I will when I finish the bottles, which would be a more appropriate time window for review.
