Philips Avent Manual Breast Pump, Scf430/30

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a working mom of two, having a manual breast pump at my desk and in my car has been a lifesaver more than once! Just the other day, 10 months into my breastfeeding journey, I forgot part of my electric pump. Fortunately, I had this manual pump at my desk, and it saved the day! I have two manual pumps, both from Avent. I purchased my first Avent pump and I received this second one through the Stellar Product Testing Panel. This model is my favorite because it's compact, discreet, and effective. Straight out of the box, it's easy to use. The pump and bottle easily fit into half of my small lunch box, making it easy to store in a work fridge or tuck into a glovebox. The silicone flange insert is very comfortable, creating an effective seal that allows the pump to empty me just as efficiently as an electric pump – without pinching or awkward squeaks. I also love that it came with a bottle and lid that can be used to securely transport milk. The lid also has a removable piece, allowing you to insert a bottle nipple for on-the-go feedings. If you're in the market for a manual pump, I highly recommend this one!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am currently 10 weeks postpartum and exclusively pumping. I found the Philips Avent Manual breast pump extremely easy to wash and assemble. The pump comes with a Philips Avent bottle, storage cap, and a cap for the flange. The cap is nice feature so that I could cap it back up without having to worry about dust getting collected or milk spilling out in the flange. I am very surprise at the silicone flange because of how comfortable it is. I have elastic nipples and it has been difficult to find and figure out what flange size I am. I will usually vary between 22mm-24mm in flange sizes. But with the silicon flange, I didn't need to worry about any sizing because it fit perfectly and was pretty comfortable. One thing I appreciated very much was how light weight the pump is. Since I am new mom, packing and bringing things with me has been a hassle. But with this pump, it is really easy to bring it in my purse and pump on the go. I have actually been using this pump while my husband drives to our doctor visits because it is an hour away from where we live and saves me the stress of not being able to pump when I'm out of the house for more than a few hours. The pump didn't spill or leak during the whole time pumping. The best part is being able to feed directly from the bottle without having to transfer to another bottle. My baby is currently only using wide neck bottles. And it is always a pain to transfer the milk to another bottle, but being able to pump directly into the bottle has saved me so much time. I was given this manual breast pump to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I am overall really pleased and happy with this pump. I am able to pump 15 minutes from each breast and feel pretty empty afterwards. This pump is easy, convenient and efficient. I now just need another set so I can pump from both sides at the same time.
