Have a few pairs of kitchen shears that have dulled over time. Tried using knife and other sharpeners but didn't have much luck. This Fiskars sharpener did the trick. While it says it's not for serrated/pinking blades, my kitchen scissors do have ridges on one blade but this still sharpened them. And per the instructions, all it took was 4 passes. Easy to use and the sharpener is fairly compact/fits in a standard kitchen drawer. Definitely recommend.

There is nothing like going to cut something and the scissors are barely working. It is no fun having to work hard for a simple cut. Usually the reason the scissors are not working is because the blades are dull. And how are you supposed to sharpen them? For me, in the past, that meant, I just had to work with an inferior tool. It never occurred to me that there was another tool that I could use to sharpen the blades on scissors. So, I was surprised when I was able to review Fiskars Desktop Universal Scissors Sharpener. The instructions say that four strokes typically work to restore the blades to like new sharpness. It is so easy to use. It is lightweight and takes up little space. The sharpening is very smooth and takes no time. This sharpener can be used with any straight edged scissors. I sharpened all of the scissors in my house and they really are as good as new.
