I usually mix the nibs, two cacao paste discs, and add some cacao powder at the end to a mixture of cooked amaranth, quinoa, and chia seed. To my surprise the nibs did not melt, but softened up to an al dente texture. The paste discs melted and the powder blended in fine. The mixture has a good chocolate flavor with an undertone of natural sweetness. If I want a bit more sweetness, just a few drops of raw honey is enough. When I cook this, I make sure that I have plenty of time to slowly savor every spoonful. I sort of becomes a sort of sensual experience. In the near future I would like to try this in pancakes.
