Reduce heat and simmer for 45 minutes or until all water is absorbed. ***Cooking Measurement Chart **Rice: 1 cup; Water: 2 1/2 cups; Makes: 3 1/2 cups; Servings (3/4 Cup Cooked): 5 **Rice: 2 cups; Water: 5 cups; Makes: 7 cups; Servings (3/4 Cup Cooked): 9 **Rice: 3 cups; Water: 7 1/2 cups; Makes: 10 1/2 cups; Servings (3/4 Cup Cooked): 14 **For drier rice use 1/4 cup less water. **For moister rice, use 1/4 cup more water. *** Add 1 tbsp butter and 1 tsp salt per cup of uncooked rice, if desired. **Microwave - From Ambient **Cooking Directions in the Microwave** **1. In a 2 1/2 quart microwave-safe dish, combine 3 cups water and 1 cup rice.* **2. Microwave and cover on High for 10 minutes. Reduce setting to 50% power; microwave for 20 minutes.
