If you love watermelon, THIS IS THE ONE YOU WANT!

This is the best watermelon I have ever bought. It is big, ripe, juicy, sweet, perfection off the vine. I don't know if the person who pulled my order knew what to look for in a watermelon, or if Walmart has found an excellent grower to buy their watermelons from, whatever the case, GREAT JOB!! I shared it with a neighbor, and she was amazed.

Make sure it is peak season or don't bother

Purchased a watermelon in the middle of April -- found out the hard way that just because it is available doesn't mean it is in season yet. It was actually tough and chewy, pale pink with yellow/white, and of course awful tasting. Looked it up because I've never had a tough/chewy melon before and realized it isn't really season for watermelon yet and that best texture and flavors arrive in late spring through summer. I was actually able to get a refund, but was disappointed in the waste of food.
