The product itself is great especially at the price I'd recommend others to take advantage if they're looking for a freshwater rod and reel combo for the beginners don't get discouraged they're trickier than spinning reels but definitely more fun to use imo

love the item to bad the packing of the item was so poorly done it was busted in half , Walmarts fault the package literally bent in half the rod wasn't properly packaged, slapped in two half boxes no protection for the rod poorly taped holes in the box

Excellent for Crankbaits

I can't believe how nice this rod and reel setup is. The reel is super smooth and I love the handle. Rod is very light and plenty sensitive. If it's not clear in the listing, this setup is a 7'4” moderate action rod and a 5-speed reel with a pretty deep spool - this is a crankbait setup for bass fishing. You could also use this to fish a bladed jig, if needed.
