i have ordered many shower chairs and have not felt safe. In buying this chair I made sure that it held up to 650 lbs. I weigh anywhere from 200 to 220 and I am nowhere near the limit but I feel very safe on this chair! No matter how light or heavy I am I always feel the heaviest in the county.
