I tend to burn the motor up on these mixers every year with making mashed potatoes and homemade treats but they are the only ones that last the longest others I've used last about 3 months before their motors burn up so for this one to last a year it's pretty good.

Pretty good mixer for the price! We got a similar cheap hand mixer from Target that ended up breaking after trying to use it with a slightly thicker batter. This mixer on the other hand has held up great to lots of daily use and wear and tear. Very pleasantly surprised by its durability.
