didn’t have high expectations given this is a walmart ‘hyper’ ebike, but gave it a try because it was cheaper than literally anything else that’s mid-drive, full suspension, AND a 29er. front sr suntour xcm32 fork and shimano tourney tz drivetrain are pretty entry level but enough to get you started on trails. however, i’d highly recommend upgrading the rear exa form 562r shock and check if any bolts are over tightened. i upgraded the rear shock after 20 miles to a DNM 38RC which immensely improved the overall handling and grip of the rear wheel. the vinka e20 motor is powerful and hasn’t had any problems after 200 miles of intermediate singletrack. adding a dropper-post and some sticky maxxis dhr2 tires next. might consider upgrading to hydraulic brakes as 160mm tektro aries cable brakes don’t inspire confidence at 30mph. battery is a bit small at 378Wh but can just crank out 20 miles as promised. it doesn’t ride like my specialized turbo levo comp but it also isn’t $7500. this bike has impressive value compared to what $1500 can get you (hub-drive bikes that ride and feel like motorcycles). buy for the frame mid-drive motor, upgrade everything else as you go.
