100% Natural - and Apparently Very Tasty!
The Pet 'n Shape Chik 'n Skewers are 100% natural, made with chicken breast, cowhide, vegetable glycerin and salt. This product does not contain wheat, soy or artificial additives. It also does not contain any artificial preservatives or colors. The package can be resealed, which is great, because that keeps the chick 'n skewer treats fresh. Each treat is 65 calories, but giving a treat like this doesn't have to be every day (my Havanese is small and gains weight easily!). Once or twice per week will delight her and will also keep her guessing as to when she will receive her next treat! I have two dogs – one is a Miniature Schnauzer and the other is a Havanese. Both of them have become masterful in peeling off the goodness of any bone that contains something like chicken – and then they leave the bone lying on the floor! I really hoped that didn't happen with this treat. When I presented the first chik 'n skewer to Marcella (the Havanese), the idea was to snap a picture of my husband giving it to her, but once she smelled the treat, she grabbed it and ran! She disappeared under the table – and wouldn't come out! I can't say that I have ever seen her act like this with a particular treat! Even the cats were looking at her as if to say, “Wow, what's going on?!” It was hilarious. Marcella did abandon the bone after eating the chicken off of it, but she later picked up the bone again and began to chew it. Pet 'n Shape has been around since 2005 and provide a variety of tasty treats for your dog with treats for small, medium and large dogs. I love that their products do not contain wheat, corn or soy because why do dogs needs those ingredients in their food? I noticed that on their website that they have treats with sweet potato, which both of my dogs just love. I can't wait to find the various dog treats in the store because this is a business I will absolutely be supporting!!
For your picky fur baby
My dog is a finicky eater. If she smells anything that smells like pork whether it's a treat or her dog food, it is a no go. I can truly say she loves chicken. I have to make sure dog food and treats are chicken. The Pet ‘n Shape All Natural Chik ‘n Skewers Treats from out the gate was a hint with my finicky fur baby. She waited patiently smelled the chicken, nibbled the skewer little, she bit off a larger piece and did not stop until the skewer was no more. I have ordered more for my fur baby. If you have a pet that likes treats this is treat to get.
Much thicker than I'd imagined!
These chicken and rolled rawhide skewers are the second product from this same company, "Pet 'n Shape" . Just at first look, they actually look very yummy, almost like human grilled chicken satay, lol. I checked the ingredients first, as I always do. You need to be ever vigilant when offering any food or toy to your beloved pets, you need to make sure to allow only the most natural ingredients that you can for the safety of your pet. There are so many unscrupulous companies out there now that seem to only care about money. This company is obviously concerned with the health and happiness of your pet. I have a medium sized dog who is a terrier mix. She has been offered safe chews since she was a puppy. She is now 8 yrs. old and still a very enthusiastic gnawer and chewer. So she really puts new dog treat products through it's paces, lol. So I offered her one of these skewers and she happily grabbed it and went to her special rug where she's allowed to relax and enjoy her treats. I have to say on e she really got going to town on that skewer she got that glazed over look of pure concentration and happiness in her eyes. After a half hour, she was close to finishing the treat but decided to stop and take a rest, lol. So this is not a treat that is finished off really quick. And that's always a good thing. I would recommend these products from this company completely!
