Zatarain's No Artificial Flavors Gluten Free Reduced Sodium Jambalaya Rice Dinner Mix, 12.0 oz Box

As a busy mom of 3, one of my favorite things is coming home after a long day and spending less time making dinner and more time with my family. I tried the Zatarain's Reduced Sodium Jambalaya Rice Dinner Mix as an easy weeknight dinner option for my me and my husband. I was pleasantly surprised by how flavorful it still was despite the lower sodium content. We like making healthy swaps, so appreciated the reduced sodium, though we *did* add some salt to the dish to bring out the flavor and spice even more. Sometimes rice dishes frustrate me because the rice either cooks too fast or takes much longer than the box says. For this mix, though, I followed the directions on the box and the rice was perfectly cooked in the 25 minutes the box said it would take! Used smoked andouille chicken sausage that I browned first to get the flavor of some of those brown bits. Both of us agree this was a success and would eat again!

This rice dinner mix was perfect for my family of four. We had plenty for each of us to eat and get full. I added 2 whole chicken breasts for protein and my husband added shredded cheese on top of his. The directions on the box were easy to follow, and the whole meal only took one pot so clean up was easy as well! Would definitely recommend this product for busy parents during the week or someone who just wants some easy comfort meals to make.
