Does not fit Schedule 40 PVC pipe.

Bought this from the Orange (HD) big box store via mail order. Trying to adapt a new Sterling tub to the existing 2in sch40 pvc in the foundation. Put in new 2in sch40 “p” trap and a 2in to 1.5in sch40 reducer. This product says it is 1.5in pvc, what this means is that it's the thin wall pvc NOT schedule 40 pvc. It is “1.5 inches” on the outflow pipe, but it's 1.5 inches EXACTLY and that's for the o.d., but normal schedule 40 pvc pipe has an inner diameter of 1.59 inches and an o.d. of 1.9 inches. I can't find anything to make this drain kit fit the schedule 40 pipe in my house. Now I have to try to return it. I thought it would be good because I can choose what trim I want for the bath. Now I have to buy the more expensive product that is the correct pipe diameter and throw out the trim it comes with. What a pain!
