The lamps went together very easily. I'm not one to understand instructions very easily and it was easy for me. They are very nice looking lamps and have gotten compliments on them. I wasn't sure about the lampshades but they turned out looking very nice. You put the lampshades together and the ends attach with velcro. The seam can just go in the back. They are a good value for the money and look more expensive! I would definitely recommend!!
