Dosage
Always take your Flanax tablets with or just after food to avoid stomach upset. As a general rule in adults, the dose to be taken will be: For joint diseases take 500 mg to 1,000 mg per day in 1 or 2 doses For muscle, bone disorders and painful periods, take 500 mg initially, then 250 mg every 6 to 8 hours as needed For gout attacks take 750 mg, then 250 mg every 8 hours until the attack has passed Doses are generally lower for older people and people with heart, liver, or kidney problems. For children, the doctor will consider your child's weight to calculate the correct dose. If you buy Flanax to relieve menstrual cramps: On the first day take 2 tablets when the pain starts, after 6 to 8 hours take 1 more tablet if you need On the second and following days take 1 tablet every 6 to 8 hours if necessary
Instructions
Do not take more than directed. The smallest effective dose should be used. Drink a full glass of water with each dose. Adults and children 12 years and older: Take 1 tablet every 8 to 12 hours while symptoms last; For the first dose you may take 2 tablets within the first hour; Do not exceed 2 tablets in any 8-to 12-hour period. Do not exceed 3 tablets in a 24-period. Children under 12 years: ask a doctor. Store at 20-25 degrees C (68-77 degrees F). Avoid high humidity and excessive heat above 40 degrees C (104 degrees F).
