The metal handle stays cool to the touch even after simmering on the stove for a while. I would definitely recommend buying this item.

Great Pot!

I love this pot. It has grading on the inside to tell you how any cups, etc. Now I can fill my water directly in the pot, no separate measuring cup necessary. We have the contemporary series from Calphalon and are phasing out these pot and pans for the stainless-steel version. I hope the SS does better over time in the dishwasher then the other series. Time will tell.
