I have used this with a mix of other wood chips (hickory and apple) to help give a good smoke flavor without overpowering the taste of the meat. It is sized just right for my small smoker and burns cleanly. I have not yet tried it with fish, but I have used it for chicken and really found it to be a nice addition to the mix. I am looking forward to trying it with fish (salmon).
