I'll preface this by saying that I'm still waiting for a response to my question sent several days back... is it borosilicate glass? It does not say. Nowhere on the box does it say either. That out of the way, my set arrived exceptionally well packed, and other than a couple of minute tiny scratch marks inside the pot, everything is in perfect shape. Aesthetically...this set is perfection. I'm going to say, that even had I been unhappy with its performance in brewing...and I'm very very happy... I still would have kept it because it's so pretty! I have Included photos of how carefully and protectively it came boxed, as well as how beautiful it is as an addition to my coffee stand. It is designed so that any 8-24 oz mug I have in my cupboard fits easily under the cone, and to be honest, unless Ive got company, I'm brewing directly into my mug. No more balancing acts to perform with unstable ceramic cones, that are heavy, unwieldy and precarious up top of my cups. I use a small gooseneck kettle with a thermometer in the lid, also from Walmart! This pour over set is a game changer! I don't have a dishwasher, but even when I did, it wasn't used. I wash everything by hand, and a simply warm sudsy wash, rinse and dry takes moments after using. I take care with everything I own. When not in use...I would never put this away in a cupboard, it's too beautiful and attractive. I purchased the bronze, and it goes perfectly with my decor. Brewing... It is neither too slow nor does the brew drip too rapidly to extract well. It extracts well and smoothly. I most likely will use my larger filters, because I prefer them to rise above the top edge of the cone. I pour in stages, slowly over several minutes, so I'm not brewing paper, but grounds only. Those saying it needs to be larger capacity, must be pouring rapidly. I live alone, so this is perfect for me, but if I had a guest, it easily brews enough for 2. I am patient, and enjoy the ritual and process. I had looked at this set for some time, and the design drew me. Happily it brews as perfectly as it is made. It is a good weight... all 3 pieces individually, and the pitcher has a nice lip that doesn't drip. An easy accurate pour. The stand is simple, and elegant in its simplicity. The bronze looks classy. The cone looks fragile... but it feels, and is, solid. I'm extremely satisfied, it's an excellent price as well, and I am so very glad I returned to purchase the set. You cannot go wrong with this purchase, and it also would make a perfect gift for coffee loving beings in your life!
