They last me maybe a month, but thats a pitcher of tea, kool aid, or whatever, a day. so it's worth it to me. 40gal, I use a 1gal pitcher. maths math right. thanks everyone for reading. i love this pur water filter gallon size and love the filters for removing the nasty flavors out of my well water!
