It's definitely been a help to our mulch bed.

So far so good. I used it on this with a mulch bed we created in the front of the house last fall. Because there's a bit of a slope, I felt we needed this to keep it all from washing to the bottom when it rains. It is partly covered by a roof overhang but so far it's been great. Here we are in spring now and it's looking pretty good.
