Very good. Is 3 speed(slow is a bit slow but very quiet), has button for Ions and 2nd speed is faster and mid quiet/noisy white noise that is sleep-able. 3rd speed is faster and louder. Cleans air out well so you do feel breathing easier. It doesn't really knock down normal kitchen odors like cooking with garlic but I don't have the anti odor filters. It comes with original/brand name AER1 filters by Holmes or Sunbeam but these are hard to track down. The originals said their material is cotton while one generic said it's material was fiber glass, another "plastic". Didn't sound good but there are plenty of generics available and are much cheaper. However, I have to trust the filters at this time so I get the brand names.

Great for severe allergies!
I have a Holmes air purifier that's dying on me, it had a turn dial so this air purifier is the newer version of my old one. I loved the old one, I have severe allergies from mold, pet dander, dust and some other environmental allergies. So far this new replacement Holmes air purifier is working just as good as my old one. FYI my old air purifier worked for several years, it still works but just got louder in noise so I had to get another one before it completely breaks down on me.
