(2 pack) Special Kitty Classic Variety Pack Pate Cat Food, 13 oz Cans, 12 Pack

Although I have never tasted it and never plan to, my cat LOVES it for her nightly treats. The pate is her favorite texture. It is quite a bit cheaper to buy it in the larger cans/quantity than the individual small cans. I bought universal sizing silicone lids and refrigerate leftovers. A can lasts at least a week.

I care for a feral colony of 12 cats and these are a affordable way to help feed them! This wet canned food is very soft in texture but I like that because I put 3 cans in a large container and add water, mix well so it's like a heavy soup/kinda stew like for them….heat it up in winter for a warm meal and cool water in summer so they get more water in them…it also stretched the quantity as well. This wet food seems to “swell up” a little bit when I add the water and allow it to sit for a few also stretching the quantity for so many kitties. This affordable wet allows me to give them more than a just dry food diet. Much healthier for them overall and they get much better nutrition overall. I read all the nutrition values on these and for a affordable wet food, I'm happy that it has a good, decent nutritional amount that helps keep my colony getting everything they need. Every now and then I do add a little added vitamin supplements to this wet “stew” and this food allows me to give added medicines as well sometimes without them refusing to eat it. No matter the nutritional value, a outdoor colony will fight a cold, goopy eyes or normal ailments every now and then and by being able to give them a wet food it helps to allow me to sneak in vitamins, Lysine or small amounts of meds and flea tablets too(capstar's). The 13 oz size of the cans are great and 3 cans are great for 12 cats as a supplemental meal….with their dry. I give Special Kitty outdoor (indoor when that's unavailable) to my colony too. Good nutrition for the value. The Special Kitty outdoor dry has much larger pieces than the indoor kind, but it doesn't seem to be a problem. It probably helps teeth health being a bit larger pieces in their dry kind. Most all care always dehydrated and between these Special Kitty large 13 oz wet food cans and the added water, I know they get added hydration their bodies require. I have 4 indoor kitties that like this too and I give as a little snack when I'm making the colonies but my indoor babies are on a prescription diet, so they can have a treat of this every now and then. These cans come packaged well and the plastic holds the 12 pk case well and easy to carry around when needed - when the plastic casing is unopened. I hope that Walmart NEVER EVER gets rid of their Special Kitty wet food and their Dry cat food brand because this a the most affordable way to feed a large number of cats with the best nutrition on a budget. Will always buy this brand! The pics are of a few kitties the colony, one of the 4 pie tins of the wet I put out (this wet food in a stew/soup) in the feeding area…you can't see the large bowl of the Special Kitty dry the kitty is munching on and one kitty during a TNR hold, and the overall converted and insulated chicken coop that's now a “kitty Koop” that sleeps 10, and a 2 kitty sleeping area underneath made from a Temu Deck box. Affordable nutrition helped get all 12 though a very harsh 25-26' Michigan winter.
