When I got this mess going around this winter and the cough lasted over a month, I finally had to go to my NP. She prescribed this OTC cough medicine along with some antibiotics. Take it as recommended and it will dry up the mucus associated with a cold or flu. I also bought some for my husband when it hit him. It is just as good as the name brand and cost 1/2 the cost. I am all about savings when a product works just as good or better. This time it was better for me and my husband.
