Stop use and ask a doctor if you experience any of the following signs of stomach bleeding: feel faint, vomit blood, have bloody or black stools, have stomach pain that does not get better, you have symptoms of heart problem or stroke, chest pain, trouble breathing, weakness in one part or side of the body, slurred speech, leg swelling, pain gets worse or lasts more than 10 days, fever gets worse or lasts more than 3 days, you have difficulty swallowing, it feels like the pill is stuck in your throat, redness or swelling is present in the painful area, or if any new symptoms appear.

First, I'm 85 and that fact must be considered and weighed. I'm about as anti-drug as a person my age can be. My medicine cabinet used to be packed with the remnants of a 50-year marriage to a practicing RN who had many friends in the medical community. Trust me, I've tried 'em all... And if you should check my medicine cabinet today, you'd find many expired bottles, both "otc" and prescription, that should be tossed... The only "pain reliever" that doesn't "mess with" my mind is 'Aleve'. According to one doctor, a therapudic dose now and then is perfectly okay. Which is nearly double the recommended, which is 2 tabs in any 24 hr period... Three tabs helps... My hip replacement will never be like the original, but one must gimp if necessary and Naproxyn Sodium, "Aleve" makes it easier... -pp
