NOU Styling Gel for Curly Hair, Female, 8.14 fl oz

I’ve got to say I didn’t expect much of this gel when I first saw it online. Let me tell you a little about myself. I have medium length very coarse 4c salt and pepper hair. My hair is so low porosity I have to shampoo twice per week and clarify once per week to prevent buildup. I also have to use a hard water detox (I don’t have hard water) once per month for buildup removal. That being said, my hair hates Uncle Funkys Daughter Curly Magic and the Doux Mousse Def Texture foam because they have aloe Vera- aloe is a protein and makes my hair as hard as a Brillo pad. The only other gel I can use is Eco 10x Super Olive. I’m just saying this to give you a picture of what I’m working with. Surprisingly my hair seems to love the NOU gel. I actually get a soft hold, which is something I can’t get with any other gel. From my search online my hair type doesn’t seem to be too common, but this gel is a home run for me. I wish they would go lighter on the fragrance , I would prefer a more salon ‘clean’ scent, but I guess I can’t be too choosy when this is only the second gel I have found that works for my wash n gos. Please keep this stuff around!!
