Stovetop - From Ambient **Stovetop Instructions: **1. In a 2 quart saucepan, combine 2 cups hot water, 1 tablespoon margarine or butter, 2/3 cup milk, potato sauce mix and potato slices. **2. Heat to just boiling stirring occasionally. Watch carefully to avoid boil over. **3. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until potatoes are tender and sauce is desired consistency (sauce will thicken as it stands). **Oven cook - From Ambient **Oven Instructions: **1. Preheat oven to 450°F. **2. In an ungreased 1 1/2 quart casserole dish, combine 2 cups boiling water, 1 tablespoon margarine or butter, 2/3 cup milk, potato sauce mix and potato slices. **3. Bake uncovered about 25 minutes or until top is light brown and potatoes are tender. **4. Remove from oven (sauce will thicken upon standing). Stir before serving. Refrigerate leftovers.
