I purchased this on sale for a good price. I have been using a hedge trimmer with electric cords. I relocated 4 years ago and my prior house had about a 10 foot row of hedges, [there were originally many more but I removed them for safety reasons]. My current house has a much bigger piece of land with tremendously more hedges lining a long, winding, uphill driveway I felt that a battery operated hedge trimmer would help me at the bottom of the driveway instead of using multiple outdoor extension cords. Well, it definitely did provide more ease in some difficult spots and upon first use after charging the battery, it lasted approximately 1 %26 1/2 hours! [The advertisement states about 40 to 45 minutes]. Well, mine lasted much longer than that! This hedge trimmer is easy to use and maneuver and while it cuts excellent on the sides and ends of the hedge rows, the tops were a little more difficult, requiring more times of running the blade over them. Nevertheless, this is an excellent piece of equipment to make someone's life easier and I would definitely purchase again!

Efficient and Easy
I immediately charged the battery and put on the protective blade cover, which slid on more easily with the blade upside down. The most complicated part was finding the needed screws for the handle attachment. They must be unscrewed from the handle placement area and reinserted through the handle to connect. They were not packaged separately as I expected. I felt very safe using the cutters because they cut off instantly upon releasing the handle and trigger. Good cutting action. Blade length allows for accurate cutting without being awkward. I am very pleased with my purchase. Very comfortable to use, and I am a senior citizen.
