The first issue I had was the top is supposed to click closed and released with buttons on the side. It won't stay closed and you have to hold the lid down tightly through out the process. Then sometimes the process works, but often it just vacuums and never seals. Other times it will seal but not well and a short time later the vacuum in the bag is gone. Out of about 20 bags I sealed I had to redo
