works good insulating pipe

These came in handy for insulating my water lines in my house. One winter I didn't have insulation and I had a pipe burst. It was so much cheaper to buy these pool noodles than to pay for a plumber. I used the coral ones on my hot water and the purple ones on my cold water. I have plenty of noodles left over. I'm sure I can find other projects to use them on. The pipes were 1/2" and they fit perfectly covering them. This year was much colder than when my pipe burst, but with that extra insulation from the pool noodles they didn't burst.
