Ive had one of these 'type' dish wands most of my adult life. I always have extra scrubby pads to replace them. Unfortunately, my son did my dishes and threw the whole item away. The previous version didnt stand up by itself and I guess the plastic appeared disposable to him.... grrrr. So I had to order a new one and got this stand up version. I like it but advise that you need to squeeze the water out of the sponge before you stand it up by your sink or you'll have a puddle. Otherwise its great
