the only thing i didn't like was the chunks of pine bark. There wasn't a lot, nor was they very big, but it made up potting my seedlings a touch difficult. As for the color and moisture content that was perfect, i will buy it again but will run it through a sifter. for planting in larger pots, it would be absolutely perfect as it is.

Great organic potting soil. I mix 50% of this with a mix of composted cow manure, earthworm castings, biochar, and Fox Farms Cavern Culture and kelp meal for my fruit trees and vegetables %26 fruits in a raised bed. People tell me I have a green thumb, but it's just a matter of research, and a lot of luck. I've been happy with any of Fox Farms products I've used.

great for young plant root system development
I just started using happy Frog this past year. I used to use Fox Farm Ocean Forest which is great for more mature plants. The Happy frog is better for seedlings and young plants. Its great for root development, it has Mycorrhizae and Humic Acids. I actually cut it down with cheaper soil (a little). If I don't, I need to transplant to a larger pot quickly as it gets root bound in a week or two.
