Does not stay hot

I am going to be picking up a bottle lamb that will need bottles on the 12 hour drive. The temperature to mix the milk needs to be 110 degrees. I thought this would be the perfect solution for keeping the water hot on the trip. I filled it with boiling water because I can always add some cold water to even the temperature out. After 8 hours, the water was not even 100 degrees. I am very disappointed that it would not even keep the water hot for 8 hours when it advertises much longer. It is also difficult to clean. I expected the top plastic piece to come off so that you can clean it, but you have to use a bottle brush on it. It might have some potential for cold drinks if they contain ice.
