Easy Track RE1048 48 Inch Vinyl Coated Steel Wall Mounted Closet Storage Rail

We had this system in our old house and loved it. We bought it again for this new house.

I recently made a home purchase and needed to update 4 bedroom closets, a pantry, a hall closet, a mudroom closet, and a front closet. In my previous home I hired a custom closet company and it was rather expensive. This go around I decided I would take a crack at it myself and try and test it out starting with my master closet. I'm not a super handy guy, but I know my way around a few power tools. This project wasn't small, but it was simple. I started by designing my closet on easytrackdotcom using the dimensions of my walk in closet. From there their tool created a closet that would fit my dimensions. It was a basic design, but I was able to customize it like mirroring the left and right walls and making 2 tall hanging sides and also add a full rack of shoe shelves and a hamper for the back wall. When I was happy with the design I was able to view a full list of all the components and kits needed. Instead of buying it directly from the manufacturer I swung by here and picked up all the parts for roughly 20-30% cheaper. Once everything arrived I read the manuals for the kits, and also watched the helpful youtube videos that show you how to properly assemble the units. I can't stress how important this is. Carefully measuring and planning the build is the key to success. Also having an extra set of hands will be incredibly important. I did this alone and would have done it in 1/3 the time with some help. Having a good drill, screw gun, level and stud finder is VERY important. If your build is as custom as mine, you will also need a table saw to cut some shelving to size as well as a pipe cutter for the rods. It sounds complex, but in reality it was very straight forward. The design template on the website shows you the dimensions of your closet and where things go so just follow the design and you will be as right as rain.
