Burned tongue

Was looking for a clear colored mouthwash to help with care of my teeth and gums. I have periodontal disease and this is probably the best clear mouthwash I have found for that, but unfortunately after a few day I noticed it burns my tongue badly, even after rinsing my mouth afterward. I thought I had burned my tongue on hot coffee, but pretty sure it is the mouthwash since it is not getting better. Will take a break for a few days and try again by diluting with it. Too bad because I love the way it works otherwise.
