Great quality and peace of mind for the money
Searched for an automatic door for my chickens so when we were away from the farm it would let the chickens out in the morning and close the door at night. came home to many times to a possum in the coop and unalived chickens or eggs cracked open. All the online diy instructions were way to costly and complicated, and ready to go doors required dangerous household current and/or were entirely out of our budget, until I came across this door. For the price I didn't expect much, but was surprised at the quality. It's powered by AA batteries and is built light weight so mounting it properly is important for it to function properly. If you mount it with the frame twisted it's going to bind up. Don't ask me how I know. once it was mounted properly it has been operating flawlessly for several months now. if something happened to it now I'd simply reorder another. I did build a protective cover for it out of scraps of light gauge metal for protection.
