The belts are very tight and sturdy. With that said, they are very hard to stretch to get onto the parts but that is a good thing because it means they're on their tighter and shouldn't pop off as easily. I accidentally sucked up a sock and in the few seconds that the roller wasn't turning, it burned up the first bill and broke it so be very careful not to suck up anything you shouldn't. But my vacuum is working great again, and I will absolutely buy these again as needed.
