Perfect size and cooks fast! Fresh!

I like these chickpeas, in 1%23 bags, to open, rinse, pour into the slow cooker, and add two inches of water above the bean line. Set to cook on high, and cook for 2 1/2 - 3 1/2 hours (different slow cookers will vary in time). After the set time, I check the beans. They may or may not need additional time. Then they are drained, rinsed, and are ready to use. No more pre-soaking! Normally I cook a double batch, and will freeze the excess or make hummus.

Value for the money

I strongly prefer dried beans to canned. I know there isn't too much of a difference but the weird smell from the cans is always off-putting and soaking the beans myself allows me to do it in a place with more airflow to prevent as much acute exposure to the smell. The taste is as good as I've really gotten from any other place. The beans are very versatile and meaningfully contribute a variety of textures to different dishes whether they be roasted and crunchy or blended and smooth.

easy buy

Soak overnight, cook a large batch and freeze the rest in portions. Now you've got great protein to reheat, put on salads or make hummus. No brainer purchase.
