I purchased the smaller rice cooker last year. My daughter and I discovered you can actually cook way more than just rice in it. We cook pasta, rice and soups in it mostly. After learning how to cook so many things in it, we decided to make the upgrade to the larger one. We made a great choice. My oldest daughter borrowed it and like us, she just has the small one. She called later and couldn't stop talking about how much more she loved the large one. We highly recommend, if you have the room on your counter or to store it between uses, to buy the larger one and forget the smaller one.

Cooking made simple

I selected Aroma 20-Cup Pot-Style Rice Cooker & Food Steamer in the color White from Walmart in exchange for my honest review. My household is very busy, and I don't always have time to stand over a stove and cook. So, when I selected this cooker, I couldn't wait to try it. I have never owned a rice cooker. I have always cooked my rice the traditional way. The cooker comes with an inner cooking pot, plastic steamer basket, lid, plastic measuring cup, and a plastic spoon. The cooker comes with two settings (Warm & Cook). I love the fact there are measuring lines on the inside of the cooking pot. To sample the cooker, I cooked some brown rice and salmon. Within 30 minutes, I had a complete and healthy meal. The cooker doesn't have a timer, and this would be great to have. The cooker comes with an instruction manual that has very easy to follow directions along with a rice/water measurement table. This cooker is similar to a crockpot because you can also cook soup, stew, and chili in it. There are also some recipes included in the instruction manual. When it gets a little cooler, I am going to try the Aroma's Favorite Green Chili Chicken and Rice recipe. It is always a plus to have cooking devices that serve multi-purposes.
