Great for growing new grass in the PNW

After moss killer (only in the PNW!), thatching, and aerating, we used this with lawn soil. After watering 1-2 times per day for a couple of weeks, our new grass is filling in the bare spots, or thin spots from thatching. I bought a second bag to use with leftover lawn soil for any small bare patches. It is super easy to use, and we are very pleased with the results.

Fail Safe Lawn Seed

The seed germinates with very little effort. It's great for the Pacific Northwest.

Great Quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using Scotts products for years but recently moved to the Pacific Northwest so this was my first time trying this particular blend of grass seed. Overall I think the quality of the grass seed is very good and I had very few weeds sprout up. In addition to the grass seed I also used Scotts Turfbuilder Lawn Soil to help the bare areas of my existing lawn hold some moisture and provide extra nutrients to the seedlings. Within 10 days I noticed little green spikes starting to emerge. About 10 days after that I mowed for the first time. After a few more mowings the patches and thin areas were lush and green and had completely blended in with the rest of my lawn. The entire process took about 6 weeks to full maturity.
