I've been using this knife for a few weeks now. I haven't done anything to it and it is still very sharp. I've cut up meats, potatoes, carrots, celery, onions, and many other things. It does a nice job on all of it. The handle is very comfortable and the bolster is nice to the feel as you hold it. It has less food sticking than my other knives. It's a very good knife at a very good price.

Wonderful knife, normal American chef knives don't work well with me. A chef will recommend a knife based on how you cut. For people who cut straight a normal American chef knife is fine but for people who cut at an angle then it's always a Japanese chef knife. This knife is the best when it comes to affordable Japanese chef knives and was a must for me since I make angular cuts.
