The Perfect Gift!

I bought this for my Husband for Christmas (after tricking him into showing me the different functions on different reels until he said this was the one he wanted, all the while thinking I was buying it for his brother!) He was surprised when he opened the box and seen the reel! The day after Christmas, he put it on his 12' UglyStik, and proceeded outside to see how it casts. He is totally amazed at the precision and the ease of use of the Penn Reel. He has been fishing with his new reel at least 5 times since Christmas. Excellent product, and one happy fisherman husband!

Time tested reliability!

I have been using PENN reels since I was old enough to purchase my own fishing gear. My go to reel has lasted 23 years without so much as the occasional snag (operator error). I recently ordered a few replacement parts, to get it performing again, like new. I hope to get another decade or so out of the repairs. I also just purchased another new reel for one of my grandsons. It will be for him to use while grandpa exposes him to the sport of fishing. It is an ideal reel for both beginners, because of its simplicity, and for those who need to rely on it performing when it counts.
