I wanted a light decanter to keep on my counter for filtered water. It looks pretty and not too heavy. It's thinner glass so I'm careful with it but heavier glass would be too heavy for constant use, so this is what I wanted. Lid fits well and doesn't leak when pouring

I love the pouring piece of the lid it has one free pouring side and the other side has parallel wires to let liquid pass but if ice is in the pitcher it can not pass through. the top is wood but has a flimsy piece of rubber to keep it tighten into the top to secure it in place. That is the Only ** negative I can see but for the price I can live with that by replacing it with a lg. rubber band. The pitcher is tall and beautifully see through. The bottom is so flat and clear it looks as if it is a hollow opening. The handle is large for some one who has larger hangs. My hands are small therefore, there was lots of room left over to pick it up. Iam very pleased with this. Iam so thrilled I purchases it. I may buy me another!
