I was a little skeptical about these at first but to my surprise they are great! They are much better for freezing items and keeping freshness longer than your regular ziplock freezer bags! Side note: I wouldn't compare to the actual food saver vacuum seal system, if you're looking for that kind of sealing then this isn't for you. But it does get the job done without have to buy the expensive system .

I love these sturdy storage bags for freezing and for storing food like opened cheese slices, sandwich meat, etc., in the refrigerator. My only problem with them is the zipper; they don't zip all that easily, and it often takes several tries before I can get them zipped properly before using the sealer. If you don't have a tight seal on the zipper, the sealer won't extract the air (which is kind of the point of using these bags). I just think they could have made better zippers for these things. I don't have a problem getting a good seal with Ziploc bags.
