This is our go-to celebration cake, and has been for a number of years. It's a little pricey, but our grandchildren really like it. So do the adults. So we make room in the freezer for this big cake, and gobble it up after the candles are blown out. YUM!

Our Walmart is 30 minutes from our house and my cake arrived frozen. If you have great delivery drivers and a decent Walmart like we do out in the middle of nowhere, your ice cream cake will not arrive melted at all. I had it delivered at 9 pm so it wouldn't be sitting in the sun, and made sure we were home. If you're ordering ice cream do it on a cool to cold day (it was 60 degrees and cloudy), and have it delivered after dark. This saved me from having to go out after being home sick all day. Now I won't have to disappoint coworkers after promising I'd bring the cake tomorrow. I also got the writing tube from the cake decor aisle so I can write on it in the morning. Great job Collin the driver and Walmart!
