These speakers are really really nice for near field listening. I got them to use for Zoom calls through my laptop because the laptop's speakers made voices sound unnatural no matter what I did. After I plugged these speakers in everything changed. Voices sound clear and natural! This is exactly what I was looking for. But what I did not expect was how wonderful music sounds through these speakers. I sit at speaker level and only two or three feet away from them. I only have the volume on my laptop set at 30 or 35 out of 100 and the speakers set at about half of their maximum level. WOW! Sometimes now, I go to my desk just to play music. There is a wonderful clarity and depth to music while playing it through these speakers, and that's just from YouTube, that reminds me of listening to music back in the day using the big old-school floor speakers I used you use with an amp and turntable. Of course they aren't the same at all. That old setup cost a couple of thousand dollars and was not made for near field listening. But there is nice detail and even some bass that comes through with near field listening using these speakers that has been a very real and totally unexpected joy to me. I had one issue. The cable I use to connect them to my laptop is the 3.5mm to RCA cable. I noticed a hum and traced it to that cable. I remembered that sometimes the mass produced cables I bought in the past would every once in a while be defective. I think maybe one strand of wire gets out of place or maybe it's solder or something. Anyway, in the past I've returned cables and then purchased another one of exact same cable and that one works great. With this cable the hum disappeared while things were playing and returned with something like a one minute delay when things stopped playing. I wasn't going to let a cheap cable color my opinion or enjoyment of these speakers. So, I swapped it out for an inexpensive ($3.18) cable and the hum disappeared. I contacted their customer service team using the QR code in the manual. They offered to send me a new cable. But when I asked if they'd just reimburse me what I had paid for the one I had already bought, they immediately refunded me that amount. That's the kind of customer service rarely seen nowadays. This has been a great purchase. I can't recommend these speakers highly enough. It's also good to know that you are buying from a seller who has a real customer service team that actually cares about you. Highly recommended A
