The cleaning process is not just a single step, but rather a number of sequences designed to remove all dirt, rocks, stems, leaves, and cracked or split beans as efficiently as possible. Instructions
Sort and wash before cooking.Quick method recipe...Bring 1 quart water to rolling boil. Slowly stir in 1 cup rinsed beans. Do not let boiling stop. Reduce heat, boil gently until beans are tender, 2 to 2 1/2 hours. Add 1 teaspoon salt last 1/2 hour. Add hot water as needed. If preferred, soak beans overnight and boil gently 1 to 1 1/2 hours or until tender.

It seems harder to find quality food items lately, but I can always rely on Walmart for fresh items, and I know that Casserole brand beans are the very best money can buy. I use only Casserole brand pinto beans for my family because they cook quicker than old, stale beans from other companies. They maintain their consistency and texture. The skin is thin, and above all, the flavor is unmatched by their competitors.
