Although this dispenser is intended for rice it's been working great for me as a bird seed dispenser. The button in the front makes it easy to control the amount dispensed and the included cup fits perfectly underneath the dispenser. The window on the gray version, the one I have, is convenient as well. Be creative with it and I'm sure you could store all sorts of grains or seeds in this, not just rice. Assembly was a snap, be sure to check the box for both the upper lip and the lid, you'll want both before you recycle the box 😉
