Old and hard as stone

Haribo Strawberries (Primavera) are usually very tasty, but these were old and hard as stone. The packages lacked expiration or production dates, and I'm unsure where they were manufactured. They also had no indication of the country of origin. I almost suspect they're not even from Haribo.
